The term's been taken out of context.

It's meant for other things, mainly. If I saw an orange onic X tails I would tell the artist to go play a real Sonic game. He's orange, yet it represents something that steps on what Sonic fans know Sonic really is.

It's a metaphor.

Usually when 12 year old Sonic X fanboys draw Tails, he's colored yellow, hence why I say "Tails is orange" it is meant to be taken as I mean "You aren't drawing Tails."

Why? Because SEGA stopped giving a damn about their game when they stopped putting true passion into it. It's so corrupt now, there's no heart or soul in it, there's no care for the originals, they drastically changed the foundation to suit a wider audience and that's it, but the real fans remember what they saw in the games and we protect what is important to us.

Now to answer the questions that aren't stupid examples of idiots, as it might help people to understand why (and get them off my case about it.)

"Why not be mature and not look at it?"

If someone ever tells you this, assume they have nothing they truly feel strong about, or they're just a hypocrite because everyone has that something they feel strongly about, EVERYONE. There is nothing immature about protecting what you believe is important to you, people all through history have done it. Black people marching for equality, religious people protesting things that threaten their way of life. It happens, people can ignore it, they choose to fight it. Why? Because they actually give a damn.

"You think everyone will change because you say they should?"

This is not just MY opinion, it's not just something I think needs done, this is the general opinion among Sonic fans that actually know what they're talking about, that the games have sucked in recent years and the cartoon is just horrible. I'd rather sit through Japanese Naruto (which is really annoying) than watch Sonic X.

"Why do you hate Sonic X so much? It's a pretty good series compared to Sonic Underground."

First of all, this is incredibly offensive to me, because I loved Sonic Underground. It was the cartoon I first really watched on TV, later youtubing the rest of them and I find it to be the best, but as far as Sonic X being better goes...

Sonic Underground is a spinoff of the very popular Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon known as SATAM which is a cartoon based off the Archie comics, SU was originally done in France and later translated to English (however I heard the translations were a bit watered down, and the US version is missing ten episodes, but the series was still good because the plot was very interesting and well-done and the whole theme of it seemed to appropriate. It's only drawback was that it was a spinoff and it was never truly integrated into the mainstream of the Sonic world.

Sonic X, however, is a spinoff of the Sonic Adventure series, the show's first episode takes place on Mobius and introduces the different characters, explaining what looks like a good series.

And that's where everything cool about that series comes to a screeching halt. Eggman (the former Robotnik) uses a Chaos Emerald to warp everyone to Earth and the characters live among humans and fight Eggman.

Ok, first of all, I dunno about you but I grew up watching Sonic and his animal friends FIGHTING humans so them living in society instead of the natural forest and hanging with humans is a bit disquieting to me, probably because I know what real Sonic is supposed to be.

As if that weren't bad enough, the biggest character guilty of acting more technology-based than all the others... Is Tails. The little cute fox that represents everything innocent and pure about a child is corrupt beyond understanding because he is doing things HUMANS have destroyed our planet for!

And it makes little sense when every episode involves him flying that stupid Tornado instead of flying himself even when they're in a battle he could easily do without the damn thing.

Did I mention that every Sonic game past Sonic Adventure SUCKS ANYWAY? Really! But we'll get to that later.

As if these things weren't bad enough about Sonic X, Knuckles, one of the more popular characters in the series, is rarely seen and a complete idiot in the series. This pisses me off because Knuckles was counted one of the intelligent characters in the series. Plus, it pretty much fucked up his entire story from Sonic Adventure, the most noticeable way for those of us who were fed up on the first season (yes, I actually managed to make it THAT far before I resigned to the fact it 'uber suxorz' is that instead of Knuckles loathing his task as Guardian, he considers the island 'aradise' and why is this an issue? Because it throws off a concept about him that always sends the good message of "No matter how much he hates his job, he does it and he does it with honor." And that's a message I thought made the entire story very moving, as if you'd noticed in Sonic Adventure, his was one of true honor and dedication to a cause for the greater good.

Did I mention Sonic is a complete hippie in that series? Sonic's attitude has always been "Live free and die hard" and though it isn't entirely different in Sonic X... It's just gotten a hell of alot gayer... He used to be the badass, the dude with the attitude and showed people even though he has a bad 'tude, he could be just as dedicated as everyone else, he showed a good side of badass punks, to me.

And now since I've done Sonic and Knuckles, here's how I feel about Tails. Tails was the character showing unbelievable abilities of resilience and determination, no matter how many times he had to fall hard on his ass, he got up and tried again, no matter how many times Sonic burst off at high speeds, he always followed, he always tried to keep up. And he worked his ass off trying to prove himself, plus, it was always cute when he made a mistake because he just didn't know. He got the short end of the stick and was born into an unforgiving world, but he still never gave up and that's what can be admired about him, especially if you relate.

In Sonic X, they took this the wrong way completely! There was an episode where he explained his brief history and it was "Everyone picked on me because I was a little nerd." Yeah because I'm sure having an OBVIOUS deformity like, oh, I dunno... a SECOND TAIL can be COMPLETELY ignored!

SERIOUSLY! Who says "Wow he's got a second tail but I'm gonna choose to pick on him for being a nerd!" First of all, the original Tails wasn't that bright, he could fly the Tornado and repair it but he wasn't a huge machine geek like Sonic X made him out to be and that is one thing that really pisses me off about the series. People don't KNOW the true Tails because the series never shows him.

Oh, and we can't forget COSMO can we? That horrible bad idea from Sonic X, first of all, I'm a Tails+Fiona fan because THEY'RE BOTH FOXES and they actually go together but here's hat I -REALLY- hate about Cosmo! She's just like Cream and Amy! She has no true personality! Fiona on the other hand, is a different story, her story is much the same as his, they're both victims of circumstance and they look like they were just made for each other. I really wish someone would stick her ina game that doesn't suck.

Not for the gaming portion of all this. Let's start with my favorite game to hate on, Sonic Adventure 2 (battle)

"SA2B was awesome wut u talkin 'bout?"

What was so awesome about it? The ridiculous amount of side crap you had to do or the fact the characters weren't always playable and you had to deal with the fact certain characters only got certain very crappy levels?

Above all else about this game, WHY DID THEY STICK TAILS IN A MECH?!

"If you don't like action-packed shooters, don't play action-packed shooters..."

I don't play action-packed shooters, I never have. I flat out DO NOT like shooters, PERIOD. What I DO like are platformers. And in case you of the newer generation have FORGOTTEN, Sonic -IS- a platformer! But it sure as hell didn't feel like one when all I got to do in Tails' levels was run around in a shitty mech that could barely jump off the ground, let alone fly!

"Is that all you care about? Just use an action replay so you can cheat your way through the game!"

Assuming anyone who's ever said this has never played Tails' Adventures... There are ways to allow flying in a game and NOT make it easy, and I'm sorry but the Action Replay isn't how it's done. Plus, the thing breaks up your GameCube after a while. I should know.

They should've designed real platformer levels and not been a bunch of babies about having to do extra work to prevent cheating. If you want someone to solve a puzzle that requires more than flying over a gap, add a fucking downwind like on Spyro Darn of the Dragon (which sucked other than the flight concept) or Tails' Adventures. Not that complicated, SEGA. All they really have to do is look at Banjo-Tooie and they'll find the answer to the flight problem anyway. :/

"BUT THE CHAO GARDEN ROCKED!!!!!!!!!"

I'll give this some credit since the chao garden is the only thing keeping me from sticking the disc through a wood chipper. Now, if only they can implement in a game that DOESN'T have shitty gameplay.

I'll be adding to this, obviously, but these are things I wanted to get out of the way.
